My fiancé lost access to his account. This is pretty devastating.

My fiancé used his work gmail to login to Pokémon Go. He's no longer employed by that company and now he no longer has access to his account. Other than starting over at level 1, is there anything he can do?

He's going through a tough time right now and playing this game was one of the big bright spots. It was something we enjoyed together as a couple. We played while taking our son on walks. He doesn't think the company will give him even temporary access to his email. Is it hopeless?
