New to cigars and looking for some tips

Ive been buying individual cigars recently to see what I like. I just go in and pick out a cigar and smoke it with no context. They usually are $8-12 each. I don't have a humidor so I can't really buy bulk.

Is there a way to buy like a "sample pack" so I can see what I like? Light, medium, dark, etc.

Any tips you guys can give me would be great. If any of you live in the Atlanta area, maybe you could recommend a good cigar shop or club to join?
