Performance pages / uconnect questions

Hi I just got my 2017 392 Hemi Scat Pack Shaker on Tuesday and there are some questions i can't seem to get answers for:

when i try to look at the performance pages on the 8.4 screen all it says is Please Wait .......... and the pages never load up.

When i turn off the radio by pushing the power button, the whole screen turns off. the only way to turn the radio off but have the screen on is to either press mute or turn the volume down. Is there a setting for this or is that just how it works?
