Can someone answer a quick spoiler free question about the beta? Is the mission you play the first mission from the full campaign?

I absolutely know that I'm going to be playing the full game, so I'm on the fence about whether I want everything to sort of be a surprise and save it for launch, or if it's worth peeling back a little bit of the curtain in order to just have fun with it right now.
