Sephora VIB Requalification Question

Hi all, I requalified for VIB status at Sephora again this year and thought I would still receive a welcome kit (with promotional codes), but Sephora customer service just told me that was not the case. Is this true? You only receive the VIB welcome kit once in a lifetime?
