Pre diabetic

Hey all, last year I got some blood work done and I found out that my a1c was 5.6 That same day I got home, I began running from my home to my local park. Over time I got better and began to run for longer distances weekly and ended up losing 20 pounds in the first few months. However, once college started, I found myself being at home more often and only ran on the weekends, whereas during the summer I ran everyday except on Sunday. Then I just completely stopped when winter came along. Once May dropped by, I started running again. This June I got some blood work done again but it turned out my a1c increased to 5.7. Today I had urinate rather frequently and I went to my PCP and a urine test was completed. I was told that there was nothing wrong in my urine, such as glucose, protein, or any infection. Is my pre diabetes still the cause of the frequent urination?
