The For Honor Classes if they were Stereotypical Fantasy RPG Roles
Earlier, as I was watching a video of For Honor, I saw a Warden using his fourth feat in which he buffs himself and allies. Now, this has always made me think of how it seemed quite like he was using "magic", which in turn resulted in me thinking about what the classes of For Honor would be as stereotyped fantasy roles. So I thought about their playstyles, feats, and general "personalities" and this is the result:
-
Warden: The Paladin. He's noble, y'know, all around pretty "honorable" most of the time- almost always with good intention. He's somewhat of a jack of all trades- decent at attack and defense, able to lock down enemies and hold off groups, while simultaneously being pretty good at supporting his allies with buffs and heals- though he's not the best, of course.
-
Conqueror: The Tank. He's beefy, a bit goofy sometimes too, but can get serious in a heartbeat. He may not have a lot of offense, but makes up for it in SERIOUS defense- the guy is practically impenetrable when played well, especially when pitted against multiple enemies, allowing him to take the steam off of his allies.
-
Peacekeeper: The Rogue. Small, likes daggers and bleeding things out, plus she's pretty cocky. You often won't even see her in the battlefield until she's right on top of you, and when she is, she'll dish out damage quickly before disappearing again just like that. People tend to have a vendetta against her as a result.
-
Lawbringer: The Dark Knight. Oh yea, he's noble and all, but he's big and menacing, and under that nobility hides a sadistic streak. He's not afraid to play dirty when necessary, though he's not necessarily "evil" by any means. He's quite like the Paladin, really, in that he's good at being supportive and has a multitude of roles, but he has a few more options in his favor when it comes to putting the offense on his enemies. People still love him though because, c'mon, dark knights ARE pretty badass.
-
Centurion: The Beast Master. He's a little rough to look at, even if he's got some elegance to him. He's not the best when by himself, but look out when he brings in his "beasts", his allies- not only will he buff them, but he and his allies will overwhelm you to the point where it seems futile.
-
Raider: The Warrior. Big, burly, with a air of strength around him, he relies primarily on his weapon. He's not too much of a threat if inexperienced, nor does he have a whole lot of tricks to utilize, but a good one is a force to be reckoned with and fights in a tricky, unrelenting way. Also, he probably thinks Skyrim belongs exclusively to the Nords.
-
Warlord: The Necromancer. He's got a thing for putting horns on his helmet and skull symbols all over himself, not to mention how much of a menace he is. He can bring his allies back to life in the blink of an eye, and can even bring himself back, making him seem completely unkillable on top of his other abilities. Oh, and he's the raid boss that makes everyone rage for hours on end until they figure him out, and even then he's a pain in the ass to deal with.
-
Berserker: The... well uh, he's the Berserker. Not much to look at, at first, doesn't seem like a threat. He's not too powerful against one person, but he's decently dangerous despite his appearance. However, let him rev up, and he'll become a slaughtering machine even against entire groups. He'll seem completely unstoppable, and everyone will be dead by his hands before anyone knows what happened.
-
Valkyrie: The Hunter. Rugged, yet professional. There is no escaping from her- she'll chase you down, and even if you hide, she'll be able to find you. Chase her and be prepared to get caught in her traps as she keeps you locked down with her skills.
-
Kensei: The Battlemage. Regal, yet always ready for battle- powerful, yet reserved. He's got a lot of potential, but he has difficulty fighting. That said, he can fight at some range, or up close, and he's got a surprising amount of tools at his disposal. Of course, if all else fails, he could just enchant his blade with fire and spam the living hell out of his enemies.
-
Shugoki: The Healer. You may be asking yourself "Wait, how is the Shugoki the Healer? Well, it's simple, really. He's reliable at rezzing his allies, and he's surprisingly good at staying alive so long as he keeps his defense up. Though he's not good at attacking, he is able to keep people away from him, and does have a trick or two waiting to deal out some damage. That, and, he's gotta be comedic just so people don't get angry at him for his shortcomings... though they will anyway.
-
Orochi: The Witch-Hunter. He's arrogant yet calm and elegant at the same time. He's got potential, much like the Battlemage, and a good one shows huge skill with how he weaves in and out of his opponents, taking them down piece by piece. His tools are meant to be use strategically and timed well- and those that don't only help to enhance his own prowess for a time. Above all, he must know his opponents to truly take them down.
-
Nobushi: The Dark Mage. Much like the dynamic between the Paladin and Dark Knight, she shares much similarities with the Battlemage, but with a darker twist underneath. She excels at manipulating her opponents into doing what she wants all with a grace that cannot be copied by anyone else. She always seems to be just out of reach, harassing you from afar, almost like she's toying with you even though her appearance might suggest something more innocent.
-
Shinobi: The Nightblade. Similar to the Rogue in many ways, but he's more underhanded and less to the point. He's able to get in and out of range and fight on both fronts, and seems to move in a way that's impossible to follow if you're not paying attention. When things get rough, he's got some dirty tricks to ensure he wins. Plus, he's mischievous and weirdly edgy at the same time.
Now I'm wondering what the upcoming classes niches' will be like...
