Just graduated college and starting full-time job on Monday. Just want some thoughts on my budget I've created
21 years old and graduated from college in June. I start my full-time job this Monday. I've been a big lurker of this subreddit since I was about 19 and really want to stay on top of my money and expenses as I get older.
I would just like someone with more experience to take a look and see if I'm missing anything or if I have too much money put somewhere.
Here's My Budget , couldn't successfully get the Excel doc into Google Sheets without it looking all messed up so it's just a screenshot.
Here's some background information:
- Graduated college with no debt at all, I don't owe a dime for schooling
- Carpenter by trade but going into Construction Management
- Starting at 48k a year
- Going to live at home for a year with no rent
- Will keep my job that I had throughout college, just working nights
- The cash balance at the end of the month will just go straight into savings (possibly with Ally or Goldman Sachs for the 1.2% APY)
- Paying into my 401k right off the bat out of my check, won't even see the money in my check
Hopefully I covered enough to get some opinions. If you have any other questions, I'll be glad to answer them. If I left anything out then I'll just put it in as an edit later.
Thank you for any advice you have!
