Quick question regarding mana base for Modern Mono-Red

So I'm almost finished with my mono-red burn deck(mono red for budget reasons) and I've been looking for for ways to deal with flooding issues. It seems very common that I flood out with my deck, despite running only 18 mountains, and I've been considering going to 17 or even 16, but this week I was suggested swapping over to 4 of [[Desert of the Fervent]] over 4 mountains. I've also been suggested some number of the [[Ramanup Ruins]] over some number of mountains.
