/u/TheDesertFox929 Campaigns for the Progressive Democrats in Ulster
One of the Progressive Democrat candidates for Ulster, u/TheDesertFox929 stopped by the town of Letterkenny today to give a speech to local supporters on the benefits of the Progressive Democrats economic policies.
The candidate spoke of the proposed fiscal policies of his party, saying:
"The Progressive Democrats are not just the best party for the economy, not just the best party for balancing the budget, but we are also the best party for middle and working class families across Ulster. We are the only party that has both simultaneously pledged to cut taxes on the poor and middle class in the country while also paying for it in full, rather than leaving our children to pick up the tab."
He went on to emphasize the Progressive Democrats' business friendly policies, saying:
"The Progressive Democrats, unlike Solidarity and the Conservatives, are giving voters clear, detailed policy proposals this election. Instead of simply promising, as Solidarity did in their manifesto, to "Focus on job creation" without providing a single policy that would accomplish the goal, the Progressive Democrats will help create jobs by keeping the corporate tax rate at 12.5%, pursuing free trade deals across the world with our European partners, and by simplifying our tax code and reducing unnecessary regulations."
The candidate concluded his remarks by saying:
"The only party that will ensure that Ireland retains it's status as a 'celtic tiger' in regards to economic growth is the Progressive Democrats. Our party alone will help create the jobs that people all around this country need to support themselves and their families, will support rather than tie up our businesses, and reduce the tax burden on millions of Irish men and women without running a deficit."
