[Meta] I'm concerned that some of the advice that we give and share among each other isn't good for minors.

I think that sometimes we forget that we're not all alone in a group of adults speaking among other adults. Some of the messages and encouragement that we share is appropriate for adults but not for minors. Authenticity, outspoken criticism, and sometimes just plain sarcasm and rudeness are ok between adults and among peers, but are not good for a minor that is reliant on their parents and their goodwill to maintain a good standard of living.

I don't know, I just though it might be interesting to have a community discussion about the impact that some of our discussions might have on minors that read them and participate in them. Maybe I'm off base, feel free to tell me that I'm wrong.
