Relocation advice wanted. Where would you go if.......

Aw snaps! That Friday life. Early on next year (this is all dependent on me being alive of course) I will be moving somewhere random and I want to know your opinion(s). Despite being able to afford places that have a higher rent, I am leaning towards some of the southern states because the cost of living is ridiculously cheaper than here in Chicagoland and elsewhere. If you had the choice of NC, SC, TN, KS, AL, KY (Jelly), or OK to choose from where would you go? I recently got back from a few years in NC and it was a stellar time. Also, the job thing is a non issue as I can transfer to any of these places with my job intact relatively hassle free.
