I just started playing F1 2016 and have encountered two very strange bugs right away...

I've had the game for a while but not had a chance to play. I just booted it up and had my 360 controller connected. Controller is recognised immediately and works perfectly in menus. Benchmarked and can run max settings no problem. Jump into a Time Trial, flying start, as soon as control is handed over to me I get about a second or two of control and the 360 pad disconnects and switches off.

So I reboot everything, PC and all. I load straight through to Time Trial, game shuts down completely on a loading screen.

I try again. This time it gets through the loading screen. Same problem with the controller again. Just completely disconnects and switches off.

Is my main issue here a known one with a fix? Is crash to desktop common in this game?

Any help would be greatly appreciated guys.

EDIT:

Tried validating game files. Problem persists.

Tried reinstalling Nvidia and controller drivers. Problem persists.

Completely deleted game and all registry entries then reinstalled. Problem SOLVED.

I'll leave this here in case anyone else has this problem.
