Help picking a PC fighting game please

Hi to anyone reading. I really loved playing UMVC3 on the 360, but I've heard that the online is shoddy and that with infinite on the horizon it's coffin is being constructed. Are there any games similar to it in flashiness, roster diversity, and/or just plain fun regardless of learning curve?
