Dung ball guy glitch?

So the last trophy i need for platinum is giving the guy in the defiled castle 30 dung balls. I've given him somewhere around 25 and farmed enough for the trophy but now when I try to talk to him nothing happens and I don't have the option to give him anything. Any ideas?
