Spinal Ascent safety ropes ruined people's chances 😑

Just finished the show. Had a great time.

But one thing that always annoyed me was on spinal ascent when competitors regularly had trouble with that last (8ft?) jump, often they wanted to drop down to the platform below, but the safety rope had no slack, so they swung down in between platforms and failed. If you'd just let them fall with their own weight they could have easily started again.
