Give me hope?
2 months ago I woke up with a seashell sound in my left ear and a feeling of fullness, like right before your ears pop on the plane. The doctor said it was just allergies so I didn't worry, and after a few weeks it got a little better. After a stressful trip, the sound/hearing loss came back, so I saw an ENT who said it could be Meniere's. It's too soon for a diagnosis but after an MRI ruled out anything physically wrong Meniere's is seeming more likely and more real. The things I am reading are scaring me. I haven't had any vertigo, which is what I'm most worried about. I'm also worried about losing all my hearing. Right now my hearing is fine in my right ear and I have lost low tones in my left. Can anyone give me hope that sometimes Meniere's is mild? That this might be as bad as it gets? Losing half the hearing in my left ear has been bad but I can manage. Anybody out there who is mostly ok?
