Fortnite, more time on in-game screen that I would like.

I spend more time on the Heroes/Armory/skill screen when playing the game in Fortnite. Why didn't they make the base an interactive lobby like in Plants vs Zombies 2, to where you go to a station to see the Armory or/and your skill tree instead of sitting in a screen the entire time. I believe running around and doing it from your base would have more of an impact and overall sense of wow to the game.
