"PseudoChannel.py", a py based controller for Plex where you can schedule your own programs (soon commercials too). It's my first Python app. I've fallen in love with this language.

For any Plex enthusiasts this is a lot of fun. It's basically a TV channel where you schedule your repeatable sitcoms in an XML (for now) and the app generates a daily schedule / triggers play() via the Python Plex API on the client (i.e. RasPlex). So essentially, I have a 2 raspberry pi's - hooked up to hdmi ports on two different TV's, and "PseudoChannel" running on my server in a VM. My "PseudoChannel" is always playing content to the pi's / hdmi ports that I can watch as per my schedule / random movie option (scheduled for weekdays @ 7:00 PM) (like a real channel in the 90's). It's really awesome. Eventually it will have "commercial injection" to fill up gaps between schedule times. For now I have time shifting where daily episodes are shifted depending on their duration to fill up gaps. It's not polished but it totally works. Anyway, I've gotten to dig deep into this lovely language and am truly excited to finally be using it! I look forward to learning more and maybe even finding work where I can use python daily.
