Pole shaking?

Anyone here practice it? What system do you do it as part of?
Additionally, what type of staff/pole do you use?

I've seen and done some spear shaking in bajiquan, but a huge liuhedaqiang is not something one can easily store.
I'm debating getting something smaller (may be 8ft?) to practice with, but figured I'd get some discussion in here first.
