Can you really call yourself "foreveralone" if you have never asked someone out?

I kinda really struggle with this question and the topic as a whole. I am probably not the only one on here, that never asked a girl out. My cowardice goes through the roof and my self-esteem was always non-existent (probably due to the emotional warfare I had to go through during my childhood). I feel like being a coward is actually worse, than trying and being rejected.

I am just not sure if I can call myself foreveralone/incel/whatever if I actually never really tried. I feel like this label is more for people who put effort and work into it and failed.
