HDD's not being detected by BIOS but SSD and DVD Drive are

Open | Hardware

So title kind of covers it. I have a SansDisk SSD and some kind of DVD drive that work fine, but I bought a Seagate HDD after my old drive died and it doesn't work on any SATA cables or ports. I switched the power cables and SATA cables from the SSD to the HDD and the SSD still works but the HDD still doesn't. Sent it back for replacement, tried again and it doesn't work still. Bought a new WD HDD and same deal.

The SSD works on any combination of SATA cables and power supply pin I use but the HDD's won't work on any of them. Not showing up in BIOS, Disk Management, etc. They spin up so I know they get power. I have no idea what to do now. Replacing the motherboard is the only thing I can think of but I really don't want to do that.
