Moving to Boston - advice needed for places to live and short term rentals

Hello

I am moving to Boston with my family in the next few weeks and am looking for help in finding a place to live. I will be working in Natick and plan to buy.

What are good areas with decent schools within easy commuting distance ? (~45 mins)

We will need to rent short term as we wait for our house in Seattle to close, any good companies to look at?

How does registering for school work? My kid will be starting kindergarten this year, do we need to be renting in the school district we plan to live in?

What are some cool kid activities we should check out?

Sorry for all the questions, thanks in advance
