San Pedro is a beast
My friend was going to throw away his San Pedro Cactus, he thought he killed it; I thought he did also. It was potted in a mixture of Ocean Forest and sand. It was discolored and not healthy looking at all. I read about Cactus's for a few days, I brought it home with me and took it out of the soil. The soil was very compact due to all the water it was retaining, and Ocean Forest is nitrogen rich which from what I read it bad. I broke all the dirt off the roots and placed them in hydroton for two weeks under a MH grow light; just to dry everything out.
I mixed up some media using 1 part Hoffman cactus soil, 1 part vermiculite and 1 part perlite. Planted her and placed her outside at the end of May. I watered her maybe three times since then with one of those times having GH bloom as nutrients. I did not expect anything, and it did not look like it grew at all. Today when I get home from work I look over and there is a beautiful pup on her, I am amazed and had to share.
Do any of you think she will grow or the color will improve? https://i.imgur.com/WtRsllG.jpg
