Switched major from Business to Mechanical Engineering. Advice on courseload/math classes?

Academic

What's up guys, as the title said I decided to switch my major from Business Management pending to Mechanical Engineering pending. I know I'm gonna be behind the curve of my fellow engineering students by at least a year, seeing as I'll be a sophomore only taking Pre-calc and Trig this coming year. My math background is pretty weak to be honest, but I'm willing to put in the work needed to get caught up and complete calc 1 next summer. My issue is that I've already completed most of my GEP classes (all but one historical foundation), any advice on setting up my schedule so I don't get completely overwhelmed with difficult classes? Any thoughts on taking trig and pre-calc simultaneously to get caught up sooner? Would that be too intense for someone with a weak-ish math background? I barely managed an A in college algebra, albeit because I didn't put in much effort, but I'll be spending the remainder of the summer hammering down those concepts. Thanks!
