[request] Some way to copy gifs (and gifvs) from imgur, so I can paste them into text messages

Back in the day, when gifs were still gifs and not MP4 videos in disguise, you could press and hold on an animated gif in safari to copy it. Then you could paste it into a text (and it would still be animated.)

Now you can't do that because they're all gifv files which open in the video player. And imgur redirects to the gifv even if you manually type in the .gif address.

I just want to send stupid shit to my friends without requiring them to click on a link. All my friends are too lazy for that. 🙄 I don't care if it sends as a gif or a video, as long as it will play directly in the messages app, and not require clicking on a link.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. 👍🏻
