Having issues mining with my CPU, it benchmarks fine but won't connect afterwards.
Ok, first i got into mining about 10 days ago, and after reading hundreds of pages on the subject i still think i'm just scratching the surface.
My issue is the following:
My CPU, a Core i5-2500 is (as far as i could tell from my own research) perfectly compatible with Nicehash and cryptonight. It will benchmark perfectly fine on V2 and legacy versions of Nicehash. Pic: http://i.imgur.com/AEe903O.png
However, when i try to mine with it i get connection errors and it fails to start mining. Pic: http://i.imgur.com/uPulcLL.png
Here is what i've tried so far:
*Changing the service location: Same error on every single one.
*Running CPU mining on its own: No effect.
*Upgrading the pagefile size: No effect.
*Running Nicehash 1.7.x.x: No effect.
*Running Nicehash 1.8.0.1: No effect.
Here is what i'm working with:
-Core i5-2500@3.3ghz (sandy bridge)
-8gb(2x4gb) DDR3@1600mhz RAM
-Nvidia GTX 960
-Crucial 128gb SSD (just for windows and some other software, half full)
-Corsair CX750M PSU
Windows 7 x64
Oh by the way, before someone says "its not even worth it to mine with your CPU, you'll loose more paying the electrical bill than what you will ever make" i pay $0.000099 per kw/h as of yesterday :)
Also, if there is anyway to squeeze anything more out of my GTX 960 let me know, its currently making me between 60 and 75 cents a day (yeah i know its hardly anything at all)
