Would You Build a Tool that is Necessary and Have an Opportunity To Spread Even Though Monetization Might Be Hard ?
Hello,
I'm an arab web developer, and I've noticed that there are ton of foreign web applications that could be so useful for arabs if there was an arab version of it .
I decided to build a decent Q&A tool that will be targeted at high school student passing their baccalaureat, there are more than 500 000 each year and most of them have access to internet .
The tool will be targeted at those and spread by time to include all categories, all questions and answers are in arabic .
Competition is very low as I'm planning to design a friendly UX and powerful voting system, most of arabic questions and answers are hold on VB forums that date to 2005 . There's nothing such as Quora or Reddit .
The only problem I'm worrying about is the lack of payment system in my country and most arabic countries, most people don't get paid more than 500$ per month, so most of them can't afford to pay for a website, Ads is the way to go, but on the other hand, most ad networks don't pay much for arabic audience, unless we find large arabic companies to pay us .
So what would you do in that case ? would you just build an MVP and test stuff to see ? or would you let it go because of future monetization problems ?
