Dark Souls 3 makes me nervous...

I started my first BLIND playthrough of Dark Souls 3 today on stream and I must admit, I am constantly feeling nervous about Bonfires for some reason. I explore an area so much to a point where I am feeling tense about whether or not I will find a shortcut or a bonfire around each corner. I will say this is a good thing and the developers did their jobs to make me feel this way. I have never felt like this with a Souls game before (Bloodborne included). Anyone else?
