Best weapons to use in Multiplayer?

What are the best weapons to use now?

I feel as if the Rocket launcher is stronger than previously, and the plasma rifle is quite weaker? Has anything changed? Maybe the Plasma Rifle just fires much slower, or I'm just playing poorly. It feels like I've suddenly begun dying much faster, picking up less health from pickups, etc. I'm sure I'm crazy, and that no actual changes occurred, though I'd still like to know what the community believes is the best weaponry.

What are the go-to better weaponry, or what guns are downright bad?
