Small rant about my mother-in-law and a duck

This morning my MIL was in tears because a duck she kept on her farm was killed by a fox in the night. Now of course this is awful news and I loved the duck as well, but she was in hysterics, screaming about how foxes should be hunted down and how they're evil animals, all because they (and I quote) "kill for no reason!"

This coming from the same woman who ridicules my partner and I for our veganism and who cooks chicken and beef every night, not to mention the cows she keeps on her farm who will eventually be sold to slaughter.

I'm heartbroken for our friend the duck, but foxes are evil because they "kill for no reason"? All I could think was "that sounds a lot like humans."
