Connections issues

Everytime I try to go onto diamond dynasty it tells me I can't connect to the servers and that online features for the show are not available at this time... is this my fault? Like is this a connection issue or the show? I usually use a LAN cable. Also, does anyone know of any ways to improve my connection in general?
