Do ebay refunds happen on weekends or only weekdays?

I had to cancel an order on ebay and my money was refunded but the status on it on paypal says pending. I paid via a bank connected to my paypal, so the balance will be refunded to my paypal balance, my question is will it stay on "pending" over the entire weekend until monday? or is this handled electronically?
