Lonely People
There is something about lonely people
That seems to draw me in.
Maybe it's 'cause they're vulnerable
From fights they never win.
Maybe it's from seclusion
And the distance they insist
That I begin to see the light inside,
That hope that still persists.
Maybe it's the pain and agony
To the world that can't be hidden.
Now suffering as an outsider,
All their friends have said "Good Riddance".
There is something about lonely people,
And I can't tell you what that is.
Maybe it's how they hold themselves
That puts me in a friz.
There happens to be so much more
Than the quiet kid who acts so kind.
Inside’s a heart and soul like mine
With racing thoughts, obtrusive mind.
Little do you realize
'Til you put them to the test,
That lonely people shine brightest,
They laugh loudest and cry hardest.
Lonely people are the best
Once you can undeceive,
'Cause once they start to open up,
You'll be glad you didn't leave.
