[Networking] Can only access Reddit.

Solved

Hey, I have Mediacom service provider. Not sure when this started because I just got home about an hour ago. The only domain I can access fully is Reddit.com and some Imgur, Netflix, and Battle.net but not fully. I cannot get to google.com or my ISP's site making this difficult to troubleshoot myself.

This occurs on all devices on the network. I clearly have an internet connection but limited domain access. This tells me it's a domain issue located at the router, modem, or ISP level. It seems like a very odd issue to have at the ISP level.

DNS is working because I can tracert to google and the connection makes it out. That plus I am getting all of Reddit which makes it so strange....

I'd understand it if I had a clear break somewhere and nothing worked. I ran a tracert on reddit as well for a comparison and I get different results after I hit the ISP so now I'm thinking it may be an ISP issue.

I've restarted router and modem. It's 2am here; received no ISP response to calls.

Thoughts?

Edit: I'm fairly certain it's ISP level because my router has no problems getting to my modem which is getting out to a public IP. I'm just going to head to bed and hope it's fixed in the AM.

I can't really upload an image because I can't get to a host provider. In my tracert I start getting timeouts after I hit 68.66.73.122 when going to google but to reddit it hops to 68.66.72.61 after hitting my closest ISP hop

Have you restarted your router yet? Afterwards call your ISP.

Are you able to replicate this behavior on other devices that share the connection?

Yes, iOS, Android, MacOS X, Ubuntu, and CentOS all have the same problem. I'm fairly certain it's ISP level because my router has no problems getting to my modem which is getting out to a public IP. I'm just going to head to bed and hope it's fixed in the AM.

Is your modem/router pulling any custom dns server addresses? If they are have you tried resetting then to the Google dns address of 8.8.8.8?

Router is set to use 8.8.8.8 already.

Same thing going on with me, this is so weird. Even googling isn't working... At first I thought I had a virus or something.
