Pentacles of Plenty: Nine of Pentacles Reversed
My palms are covered in chains,
Hands drenched in blood,
Vision blurred by the salt of my sweat.
Every sever and ounce of pain is to live another day.
I am so sorry for being away.
I wish I could see your curly hair blow in the summer breeze.
Flowing like harp strings that sing for me.
Out where the sun will highlight you,
Revealing all your beautiful imperfections.
From your sweet skin like café,
To the adorable birthmarks on your face.
I want to see you again,
But I'm not sure of when or if I can.
Lately, you hide in the shadows.
And when I arrive home tonight you will most likely be asleep.
Curled up with that blue bear, snoring softly,
Gripping delicately hoping for a better tomorrow.
With gentle breaths, unconsciously secured,
Knowing that I am finally laying by your side.
Please. Don’t have any more bad dreams.
I am here with you now.
The most precious wealth we have is time,
and we’re letting pentacles depreciate our souls.
I am, "the bottom of the bottom".
Unseen, unheard, and unrecognized for what I am worth.
This is not my dream, this is not where I intended to be,
But I am doing this for us.
So we can live our lives
And maybe tomorrow, feast with our families.
But right now all I can provide is my love,
And my love is not enough.
Maybe there’s something else I can provide?
Something of greater value,
Greater than me.
Every moment we spend apart,
I wonder if a petal falls from your heart.
I’m not sure how to make this rose bloom,
I pour water and seeds, yet it still droops when sing.
Three hundred pentacles for fifty hours that could've been spent with you.
And I’ve earned nothing, but time lost without you.
You can go on without me,
But make sure the waves bring you back.
Because that's where I'll be.
Here, waiting for you.
