Potential New Job, but with consequences

Employment

I am a IT security engineer and I realize this post comes off as a first world problem but I'm not sure what to do and wanted to get some non-biased advice.

Financial situation: I current make $100,000 in the midwest as a Sr. Security Engineer. My wife and I own a home, a condo that we rent, two cars (one paid off) and have no other debt outside of that. We both work at stable jobs. We have two children, 1 and 3, who we send to daycare. All said and done we are doing just fine. We're a little behind right now and have some debt on a CC because we had a waterheater break and go from our 2nd story condo to a 1st story condo. We also had our HVAC go out in our house. Long story short, let's call it $10,000 in CC debt on a 0 interest CC for the next 8 months.

Where I need the help:

I was offered a job at a new company for a 15-20% raise (depending on negoitations). This is all great, except if I take the job I owe my company $20,000 for a masters degree that they paid for. That and I am not fully vested in my 401k so I would lose roughly $8,500 in my 401k.

The chances of me getting 15-20 percent from my job are 0. I just recieved a promotion so I know they won't match. I will get 2-2.5% over the next 2-3 years then get another promotion at 10-12%.

So the question is, is the short term 'hit' worth it? The new job would be exciting and I'd get to expand myself a bit. My current job is extremely stable and I am on a career growth path here, it will just take much longer. The new job should be just as stable, however it is at a smaller company.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Happy to clarify where needed.

Thanks
