Why I love FIFA.
Its because of playing it with/against friends.
I did not really like this year's FIFA other than sbcs but today I re discovered what made me get hooked onto FIFA all those years ago.
Today I played a friend from my home country after 3 years. He got a ps4 this year but our time zones don't match that quite well, also being uni student adds to it.
He called me on messenger suddenly today and told me he wanted a match with me. I said yeah we can try but I think we wont be able to play due to the long distance and lag.
But I was proved wrong, the match went ahead and was very smooth. In online friendlies, he selected Brazil cause he's a fan of Brazil and I am like, hmm, why not try to recreate that match from World Cup 2014.
Match starts, I can already feel I am going to win, I lead by 2-0 at halftime as Ozil scores twice in 3 minutes. First half ends positively for me. Second half starts and Martin Tyler's curse goes in full effect as I concede a penalty from Qatar bound Neymar.
I say its still good, I can still win but nah, he proceeds to score another 3 goals with Neymar. I score another one to take my tally to 3 but fail to win and recreate the great event.
Wanted a rematch but not possible today.
After defeating me, he obviously had to make a post about it on facebook and brag about his win over me. 😂
Even when I lost against my friend today, I enjoyed every minute of it. No other game has given me or my friends that feeling.
Oh how I miss the days when me and my friend got together just to play FIFA all day against each other and play career mode.
Here's to another great year of FIFA, cant wait for all the new details during FUT Live.
P.S You might remember another story about me and my other friend from last year.
