Venus story

While researching Venus years ago, I came across a story about Venus (the god) descending from heaven, judging those in front of her, and if there was sin in your heart, she devoured your heart.

I also was researching Lucifer's ties to Venus (the planet), "lucifer" meaning "morning-star" in Latin.

I can't find the story anywhere, and part of me wonders if I'm confusing it with something else. I may have some details mixed up.

Any help is appreciated 👍🏽
