Done yoga every day for two weeks!

I've been following the 30 days Yoga with Adriene programme and it's been pretty wonderful.

This is my third or fourth try at doing it and for some reason it has stuck so far. I've had very painful sciatica for three years and this has helped. It hasn't gone, exactly, but it's helped keep the beast at bay. There is a psychosomatic element to it, and my brain reacts to stress by looking for pain signals. I'm not taking any medication (it covered the triggers but not the symptoms, which meant I wasn't aware of when I'd gone past my limits) and the pain clinic have said that there isn't more they can do, beyond be there if I need them.

I think the yoga helps me take back control over my body, as well as loosening up my lower spine. Hopefully, this will continue!

I have also been running every day, for just under half an hour. I think the two complement each other well. The endurance and the explosiveness of the running feeds well into the focus and control of yoga. It's also nice to stretch after a run and running keeps my heart healthy.

So... The point of this post is to say "yay, this is great". I didn't "get" yoga before, but somehow everything just feels right this time round. I'm not forcing myself into any poses, I'm shimmying into what is right for me.

Also, I'm almost brave enough to go to a class again. Overdoing anything is a major trigger for pain spikes so I'm still a bit wary of a longer class.

And lastly, has anyone done Yoga with Tim's total body 30 day programme? Would that be a good follow-on? I like structured programmes so this seems like a good choice.

This subreddit has helped me along the way. It's just nice to know I'm not the only person doing this, which is a bit of a risk with YouTube home practice.
