Box 3 Discussion [spoiler]

Has anyone started Box 3? My wife and I just opened it last night. I'm wondering about Mr. Madson's demotion and the odd carriage return in his letter. I'm also working on JWJ's "binary" puzzle in his letter. I'm curious what everyone else thinks.
