Next time a "bible thumper" quotes scripture at you, try responding with this...

The most frustrating line that any "bible thumper" will shove in your face to show that people should worship the man called Jesus can be found in John 14:6 -

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Chances are you've heard that one before. It is arguably the most misunderstood passage in the entire scripture that has led to centuries of pure ignorance and frank annoyance.

The man Jesus (if he lived when they say he did) probably spoke a little Greek, as it was the language of the scholars at the time and the way information was spread "quickly" in the West.

"I am the the way..." was translated from "Ἐγώ εἰμι ἡ ὁδὸς..." (pronounced "Egō eimi hē hodos..."), but the real meaning of "hodos" is actually "way of CONDUCT". Jesus was saying little more than, "Acting like me [being a nice dude] will probably do you some good."

If you interpret that "book" in the language it was actually written (Ancient Greek), nowhere in there will you find instructions from Jesus to worship him, or any man. This is but one of the many instances in which this notion is confirmed.

But the funniest part of that line is that if you plug it into a translator from modern Greek to English, it says nothing more than:

"I am the gentleman..."

Essentially any "religion" can be boiled down to just being a nice guy/gal. But people still struggle with this...especially loud "Christians".
