▲ 4 I [22M] need advice on how to Deal with threats from my uncle [59?M], and attempt to continue to live with him and my grandparents, [82M] [79F].

Non-Romantic

To start off with, I'm 22 and live with my grandparents in their $400k home, in a nice neighborhood. I moved in after I graduated college 11 months ago. My uncle [59? M] [moderately obese] lives with my grandmother [79F] and my grandfather [82M]. My uncle has taken over paying a few of the bills in his name, mainly the TV/Internet/phone (he's tech support so he takes care of the fiddly bits for them). Two years ago My grandparents went on vacation the last week of my summer before college classes were in session for me. My uncle tried to Illegally evict me. I told him to get bent, and nothing came of it because I didn't have a car, I did nothing about it (mistake #1).

I've been out of work for 5 weeks now, I was fired from my job (of nine months) because I gave my two weeks notice (they fired me that day). I have been approved for unemployment, I still won't see money for a week or two. Last Saturday my grandparents went out to see a movie, irate uncle started ranting that I needed to get off my ass, stop staying up all night watching cartoons and sleeping all day (I watch toonami and drink on Saturday nights, did it while I was working and am not going to stop my weekly ritual now that I'm between jobs). That I should clean this shopvac that he had RIGHT NOW OR ELSE, at 11 pm because reasons.

I tell him to mind his own god damn business, that I'll clean the thing in the morning if he wants it done. This enrages the man, and he throws the (thankfully nearly empty) shopvac at me not once, but twice over the course of five minutes of him screaming about how I'm a child and need to listen to his helpful advice. I go for the housephone to call 911 because holy shit, this guy's out of his gourd. He grabs my arm, raises his fist and tells me that he's going to lay me out if I try to call the police. He said that he'd have [82 M] declared mentally unfit to manage his affairs if he had to, in order to kick me out.

Long story short I more or less get chased out of the house in my socks and shorts and spend the night sleeping in my car in a parking lot. The reason I did not immediately call the police was because (besides being threatened with bodily violence) he was between me and my cellphone, and could not get it before I escaped the house. I spend the night sleeping in my car and come back sunday to find that he's not violence and that he won't start shit when my grandparents are around.

I did not call the police after this (mistake #2). I did however tell my grandparents about this pretty much immediately because I'm not a complete idiot. He got read the riot act and threatened with eviction (an empty threat probably). For the preceding week he's been calling me a '8 year old' and a 'fucking pussy' because I involved the landlord in a dispute between tenants (as an analogy).

Now it's a week later and after some more menial shit that doesn't really matter (scheduling a recording on the cable box he pays for, sitting in the room that he's set his computer up in, etc.) he's ranting again, more veiled threats of violence.

To start today off he entered my private room (because I foolishly left the door unlocked, mistake #3) woke me up, and told me to start pulling weeds outside. After a mere 5 hours of sleep I naturally told him to fuck off, since I was up drinking (moderately, 4 cans over 6 hours) and watching Chinese cartoons until 4 am. He starts ranting again and I lock the door after he leaves. I relay this altercation to the landlords, my grandparents 30 minutes after it happens. Tonight, ~3 hours ago, he gets in a big fucking argument with my grandparents, mostly over the fact that I "told on him" (to put it in the same tone as he's complaining about) and they told him to stop fucking with me.

I didn't hear much of the yelling between my grandparents and their whale of a son because I barricaded myself in my private room with a dresser against the door and my shitty $80 shotgun in my lap because I'm not entirely that my uncle won't actually try something tonight. From what I heard either he or I or both of us are getting kicked out because my Grandmother, one of the landlords, is sick of all the fighting and stress. Excerpts overheard through the floor and walls include: according to him if they kick him out he'll "never talk to you people again", him saying that he pays for various things.

TLDR; violent/narcissistic uncle is violent/narcissistic, what do? Sorry for any formatting errors, new to reddit and this was typed in a hurry

(EDIT): I'm definitely going to the police station in the morning and making a report for assault from last week since he prevented me from calling the police with threat of violence.
