My own regretful story
I'm 17 and so is my now ex-girlfriend. We fell for each other over a year ago now. She struggles with depression, which makes me feel bad about us ending things last night. I used to love her with all of my heart and I gave her everything I could. I know she's an amazing person and she's going to find the person for her but I don't think I am that person. She doesn't like my dad (my mother passed away when I was very young) so I can't see things going possibly further, especially when we'll both be going to different universities. Things have been rocky for the two of us. There's been a lot of fighting and disappointment. I wish I could have been there more for her but I often feel emotionally tired after talking to her. Over the last couple of months I've found myself constantly googling if she was toxic for me or whether or not we should break up. I know she's an awesome person but she's not an awesome person for me. I'm afraid of being alone but I have a lot of things to keep me busy and I'm going to welcome a new chapter into my life.
