Thought I could use an extra set of eyes on my LSAT scoring patterns.
Hey everyone, I'm on my 8th LSAT practice test coming up and I'm looking to take the test in September. However, I'm having a few key difficult patterns that lock me out of the score I want. (166 if you're wondering)
Patterns:
- I'm incredibly bad at RC and I do not know how to improve. Most of my answer choices go down to two answers and I usually pick the wrong ones. (Currently answering ~11 correct and ~6 incorrect with the rest unanswered)
- In LR I do very well (~20/26) BUT only on the SECOND section of LR. I significantly worse (~20%) on the first section. This has been a consistent pattern on all 7 prep tests. And on the 7th test I did a practice LR before the prep test and still had the drop. This is highly concerning because I know these are points I can probably pick up.
- Incredible test anxiety has made the LSAT much more difficult. Weirdly, it occurs at the beginning two sections and eases away as I get towards the third, fourth, and final sections. I have thought this to correlate with my LR problem; however, the trend continues even if my LR is in the third section. The anxiety is so bad I just want to run out of the room as fast as possible when the test starts. My hands tremble consistently through the test.
I hope you all have some wise words or at least similar instances where I can feel somewhat better about the situation. Currently things are looking grim to get to that 166 as I battle to reach 160. I'm hard on myself, however, because I know it is feasible if I didn't have some of these issues plaguing me.
Thanks for everything!
