Do conservatives choose Terran Republic and liberals Vanu Sovereignity?

Because they share idiologies?

Republicans:

The Terran Republic are a conservative, authoritarian, collectivist nation who strive to regain contact with the homeworld and reunite the warring Factions.

Democrats:

The Vanu Sovereignty are a transhumanist cult of academics, intellectuals, and technology worshipers who believe that human destiny lies in the further development and exploitation of the alien Vanu's technology.

And libertarians pick The New Conglomerate?

The New Conglomerate are a separatist faction determined to remain free of the controlling and domineering Republic. They feel that any form of control is oppression and that a miserable free man is better off than a contented slave.
