What do we think of Sephora's change to Beauty Insider t&c?

Basically, if you don't earn/purchase/redeem insider points for 18 months, your points expire. i.e., You have to be using your account some time within any 18-month period, as I'm understanding it.

Will it effect you? I wonder why Sephora made this change. Are people just letting their points sit idle without using the account and Sephora wants to dump thos points?
