AMD vs Intel for HTPC

So I am going to build a HTPC and wanted to know what would be my best option for cost. Intel or AMD, what i am really asking is it better to pay extra for Intel if i am going to get better performance from it or is AMD better option for a HTPC or are the parts i picked completely idiotic. All this PC will be used is to watch movies and shows.

I have picked parts for both AMD and Intel

AMD: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/B49WQV

This one is is 100 dollars less since i have the same RAM from a previous gaming/workstation i built.

Intel: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WdGfTH

Any advice would be great.
