Is there a name for the logical fallacy that Scott Adams was using in the interview with SH?
Basically, what Trump is doing might seem like self-defeating nonsense now but in some amount of time which will not be defined, you will see the genius of the plan.
By analogy (and therefore I lose 🙄):
"Sure murdering this person now might cost me 15 years of my life, but in 15 years I'll be reformed, better than I could ever have been without murder, and will achieve something that I could never have otherwise achieved. You just don't understand the master plan behind my actions."
In some ways it's extreme-Marxism in an almost Asimovian context. I'm sort of impressed.
It's almost like it's an "appeal to infinity" or something.
The reductio ad absurdum is that since we're not all dead, Trump's plan for humanity is clearly a masterpiece.
