Camping?

I'm looking to go camping soon. I'll just be bringing my one tent, food and gear. Don't need any special amenities or anything. I really like the rock creek recreation area in Unicoi.

Do you have to pay/register before you show up there? Or can you just show up a pitch your tent? If you do have to pay there, are there any other campsites that are free around here?
